Bf 110G-2 - Werke Nr. 6405 - "Schwartze 12" did crash 1.5 km east of Gaastmeer
"Bordfunker" Eichholz was able to bail out. His pilot did not survive this crash
It was shot down when American bombers of 445th BG(H) returned from a mission to Osnabrück and Münster
At the same time two B-24 "Liberators' came down near Bolsward ( 14:30 - #42-7420 - 10 KIA ) and
Mirns ( 15:02 - #42-7554 - 7 KIA - 2 POW - 1 EVD )
Base of 8./ZG 26 is "Fliegerhorst" Wunstorf ( 20 km west of Hannover, Germany )
Messerschmitt is salvaged on 11 Jan 1944, parts are transported to Zerleger Betrieb Utrecht

Uffz. Eichholz bailed out near Oudega (W), from here he is transported to the "Lazarett" in Leeuwarden
He is seriously wounded on his left leg
