was delivered on 05 March 1971, and was registered PH-BUB.
KLM were in fact the first airline to operate the B747-200B series
in commercial passenger service, in February 1971.

This year I had my driver license, so I could give Jan a break on our 2nd trip from East to West
Ending up in the same motel on Manhattan Beach, only 5 mi from LAX Airport and 3 blks from the beach
Two years in a row we did visit in 11 weeks (79 days) lots of highlights and National Parks along our itineraries
